Yeah, you read it correct! I have to create a website in an Indian Language – Gujarati.
I didn’t want users to download the fonts to be able to view the site and I felt it would be easy coz many sites are being done in indian languages including TDIL which recently launched their Gujarati site, Google’s Gujarati version and many more. I Also found this Unicode Type Pade which will make it very easy for me to get the website done.
But the problem with all these sites is that it doesn’t display joint characters properly in any browser except IE which makes it difficult to read 😦
Check the following example in all browsers, it should look the way it looks in IE
Ex: અન્ગ્રેજી [meaning: English]
Any idea on how to correct that problem?
